Seidr is to Tether, Snare or Bind

Seidr is to tether, snare, or bind.

Seidr is Norse magic concerned with knowing and changing the course of fate by symbolically weaving new events into being. The term, seidr, literally means string, thread, or cord; or as an action, to tether, snare, or bind. To control someone with magic was to metaphorically bind them.
